Chengalpattu Bus Stand

One of the most mismanaged bus stand in recent years without any improvement or redesigns.
We can say the management is just 40%. As a male citizen of India you can "relax" freely anywhere you desire to do it. Though there is one paid and one free toilet is present inside. Dont ask about the usage fee in the paid toilet. Some conscious government drivers that too in kanchipuram stand only use their segments to halt their buses properly. Others, dont care.
To enter into the bus stand from any nearby places itself a good physical exercise both for drivers and also for the passengers. For drivers they need to go 1 left turn, 2 right turns and then a left turn all are approximately 90 degrees curve to drive into the bus stand. Add 2 more such right turns to drive out of the bus stand.
For passengers, no comments; there is no improvement of the roads leading to the bus stand. It is in the same condition as like it was before 6 or 7 years. The open drainage add to woes further. It is upto the residents who liver very nearby to these open drainage on how they raised any issues or met the person incharges so called, ward councilors, municipality chairman, MLA, MP, etc.,
There will a horrible traffic blockage in night when the buses are return to depot which is situated in the GST road itself. Though one way system was implemented during these times, it is not working successfully.
Not to mention, there will be the presence of traffic police here at this junction, who try their best to solve the problem.

But the questions are:
1. Why dont the government try to expand the depot located in the GST road to other place, so that the traffic blockage will be reduced? How long the thirumalai theatre is to be like that?
2. Why dont separate bus stands are possible? one for buses towards chennai, which can be used as the existing bus stand and the other for buses towards south, which we need to focus on.
3. Why there is no improvements in the condition of the bus stand? are the people representatives are forgot to travel in the bus or they cant hear from the people about the horrible status?
4. Question about district administration will be beyond our scope, since we might get answer that they might have stuck with their duties and they have more responsibilities.
5. Why these people including the transport drivers, the transport administration are not protesting to get their basic amenities in right manner?

Complex pain relief surgery performed at private hospital

Source: The Hindu, Chennai edition, June 2022 The patient was suffering from a brachial plexus injury Doctors at Kauvery Hospital here have performed a complex spinal surgery to relive the excruciating pain in the limbs of a 24-year-old man suffering from brachial plexus injury. A release from the hospital said the youngster met with a road accident three years ago, which resulted in an injury to the brachial plexus, a network of nerves responsible for carrying signals from the spinal cord to the shoulders and arms. G. Balamurali , consultant spine and neurosurgeon at the hospital, said when a person suffered damages to the brachial plexus, it would cause extreme pain and weakness of the limbs. “The pain experienced is so severe that some patients want their limbs removed,” he said. 55-year-old man undergoes aortic valve replacement

Source: The Hindu , Chennai edition,  FRIDAY JULY 22, 2022   A 55-year-old man, who had underdeveloped limbs and was born with a single kidney, underwent an aortic valve replacement surgery at MadrasMedical Mission (MMM) . Doctors decided against Transcatheter Aortic ValveImplantation (TAVI) considering the risks involved due to his multiple co-morbidities and opted for surgical replacement with a tissue valve. The patient has deformities in his left upper and lower limbs due to a condition called phocomelia , where the limbs are underdeveloped. This deformity was the side effect of the drug Thalidomide given for morning sickness during pregnancy in the 1950s and 1960s. He was born with a single kidney and has had episodes of pancreatitis for which stents were placed, a press release said.
