Imagine what the sight of dozens of maggots squirming about in a human being’s mouth would do. A revolting footage uploaded by a user from India on YouTube, shows a dental surgeon coming face-to-face with a mouth infested with maggots - the slimy larval stage of flies and other related insects usually found feeding on rotten flesh. The patient, an elderly woman presumably because of the long hair, appears to be under sedation and can be heard taking deep breaths, as a tube pumps anaesthetic gas through the nose. The person has her lower lip tugged to reveal the seriousness of the oral infestation.
