Tambaram to Perungalathur

Take a ride on any day in 4 wheeler from tambaram to perungalathur. Sometime the traffice will be in standstill from perungalathur to tambaram railway station. Think about the drivers who are behind the wheels. It will take maximum 30 to 40 minutes to cross that stretch. It is the junction where the vehicles are coming from maduravoyal bypass and via tambaram meets. It is also a time keeper place for all long running government buses. Yes we have two separate bus terminals in koyambedu for government buses and private buses, but how far they are utilised? Why all those buses starting from these terminus should stop at perungalathur.

Ofcourse, when all the private omni buses are occupied with IT employees working in OMR or in NH45 [mahindra city, guindy, ShriRam IT park] has their task easy, just wait for hours how long it may be and take the seat, either sleep or get into a smartphone with whatsapp or other games or music?

All social networking platforms dumped the protesting spirit of the humans. Did it ever exists in them? They share videos, music, photos everything but not to think of the revolutions.

There is a signal near perungalathur railway station and there is one U-turn after the signal [from perungalathur to tambaram] which streamlined might reduce the block and not certainly the problem.

To avoid this traffic it is better to take east tambaram road by taking the overbridge and left next to the tambaram railway station. and join in the vandalur junction using google maps. Try this alternate route, take east tambaram, go via Madras christian college in velachery tambaram main road, new agaram road, alapakkam-  mappedu road, anna main road, join in vandalur-kelambakkam road and join in NH45 near the zoological park/Dr. B.S. Abdur rahman university.

Hey all! it is really a never ending ordeal till date and better have enough patience to pass through perungalathur in special weekend days and in holiday evenings.

Complex pain relief surgery performed at private hospital

Source: The Hindu, Chennai edition, June 2022 The patient was suffering from a brachial plexus injury Doctors at Kauvery Hospital here have performed a complex spinal surgery to relive the excruciating pain in the limbs of a 24-year-old man suffering from brachial plexus injury. A release from the hospital said the youngster met with a road accident three years ago, which resulted in an injury to the brachial plexus, a network of nerves responsible for carrying signals from the spinal cord to the shoulders and arms. G. Balamurali , consultant spine and neurosurgeon at the hospital, said when a person suffered damages to the brachial plexus, it would cause extreme pain and weakness of the limbs. “The pain experienced is so severe that some patients want their limbs removed,” he said. 55-year-old man undergoes aortic valve replacement

Source: The Hindu , Chennai edition,  FRIDAY JULY 22, 2022   A 55-year-old man, who had underdeveloped limbs and was born with a single kidney, underwent an aortic valve replacement surgery at MadrasMedical Mission (MMM) . Doctors decided against Transcatheter Aortic ValveImplantation (TAVI) considering the risks involved due to his multiple co-morbidities and opted for surgical replacement with a tissue valve. The patient has deformities in his left upper and lower limbs due to a condition called phocomelia , where the limbs are underdeveloped. This deformity was the side effect of the drug Thalidomide given for morning sickness during pregnancy in the 1950s and 1960s. He was born with a single kidney and has had episodes of pancreatitis for which stents were placed, a press release said.
