Pedestrian crossing and 3.5 seconds or less than 5 seconds.

When you get down in Egmore station and reach dinathanthi signal, the time you were given is about 3.5 or less than 5 seconds. Below given is the all possible way of traffic you have to negotiate when you need to cross the signal, bear in mind this is in morning. I didnt mention about the evening. It is difficult and hard to cross the motorists who stop their vehicles almost on or over or after the zebra crossing/pedestrian crossing. And then you have to be aware of the free left from e.v.k. Sampath road to e.v.r. Periyar road. All to be done in 3.5 seconds and in the evening it will be more worse. There is no proper painting of pedestrian crossing in the road which should be given added brightness and maintained periodically so that it can make the motorists to think back before they stop their vehicles disturbing or almost blocking the pedestrians who were crossing. Govt. hospital uses X-Knife to treat tumour

 Source: The Hindu , Chennai edition, July 17, 2022, read online A team of doctors at the Tamil Nadu Government Multi Super Speciality Hospital (TNGMSSH) treated a 56-year-old woman, who had a tumour in the vestibular cranial nerve, using high dose radiation in a single sitting. C. Sundaresan, associate professor, Consultant Clinical Oncologist, TNGMSSH, said the woman had severe vertigo and was hard of hearing. On evaluation, she was found to have a nine mm tumour in the vestibular cranial nerve close to the brain-stem - a vestibular schwannoma . "This was in the ear apparatus, the part that takes care of balance, Due to the tumour the woman had dizziness and could not walk normally. The tumour was near the internal canal of the ear and it affected the hearing of the patient." he said.
