Touch and Order - Eat and Swipe - TOES - Integrated Restaurant Management System
Is this system exists anywhere in the world?
We are going to a restaurant and found an empty table for us. When we sit on the table, a table top kind of touch screen monitor opens to us. We are selecting our desired items from the menu displayed, with the priority to be served. When we click the submit button, the cook in the kitchen gets alert about the dishes to be prepared for the customer. Once the cooking is finished, the dishes are moving in a train like set up, which "table-delivery" the items to us. If netpayment facility is activated by the restaurant, we can pay the bill and get a passcode to come out of the restaurant, and the passcode needs to be entered at the exit door.
How is it? So what are the advantages and disadvantages? We have to think more.
But for sure, we need to prepare the following modules and to integrate it to make it successful.
1. Item(dishes/menu) management system or Order management system
2. Restaurant net-payment system
3. Restaurant customer management system
Think about this:
This will provide full details of what are the orders placed and what is the favourite of the customers.
If the customers are regular, we can give them fingerprint identity so they have top priority and price concessions, may be the cook will be familiar to deliver the dish with their taste.
We do can order priorly from the home or from anywhere, and come for taking food with prior appointment.
So, how is this idea. It may or may not sound ok now. But this is going to be the future of Restaurant Management System. A cutting edge technology software which will integrate all the facilities of the restaurant, not restricted to bill generation alone as we do have commonly now.
